Former Auburn tackle Shane Callahan has enrolled at Colorado and is reportedly seeking a waiver to play this season.

Offensive lineman Shane Callahan remains a member of the football program, Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said Thursday.

"He's on our team," Malzahn said during his Tiger Trek stop at Alcazar Shrine in Montgomery.

Callahan, a 6-foot-4 306 pound sophomore tackle, is behind in a log jam of tackles on the roster.

Avery Young returns at right tackle and Patrick Miller and Shon Coleman battled at left tackle this spring. Robert Leff took most of the reps on second-team, leaving Callahan to work with the third unit for most of spring practice.

The Parker, Colo. native saw time against Western Carolina and Florida Atlantic last season after redshirting in 2012.

Auburn lost linebacker Harris Gaston and Chris Landrum to transfers to JacksonvilleState after last spring.

Malzahn was not sure if there would be any attrition from the roster on Wednesday.

"I don't know at this point, but they do have finals this week, and we're in meetings," he said. "I feel good about our team."
