AUBURN -- Center Ronald Delph and forward Alex Thompson have taken an "indefinite leave of absence" from the Auburn basketball team, head coach Bruce Pearl announced in a statement Friday afternoon.

Both Delph, who sat out the 2013-14 season, and Thompson, a former walk-on who was awarded a scholarship last season, have already been removed from Auburn's roster.

Thompson averaged one point, 1.5 rebounds and 7.8 minutes while appearing in 21 games for the Tigers last season.

Pearl has dramatically reshaped the Tigers roster since arriving in May.

Benas Griciunas transferred to Charlotte, signee Sam Logwood was granted his release after failing to qualify and Dion Wade left for Miami (Ohio) .

Amid the departures, Pearl's staff added junior college forward Cinmeon Bowers, transfer point guards K.C. Ross-Miller and Kareem Canty, transfer shooting guard Antoine Mason and signed T.J. Lang.

Over the last week, Auburn has landed three commitments to its 2015 recruiting class from forwards Danjel Purifoy and Horace Spence and junior college guard T.J. Dunans, and added former Maryland signee Trayvon Reed, who is expected to enroll in January.
