AUBURN -- South Carolina could be coming to Auburn without two defensive players due to injuries suffered during the Gamecocks' 41-10 win over Furman on Saturday.

USC defensive tackle J.T. Surratt, a senior and defensive captain, pulled his hamstring and linebacker Jonathan Walton suffered a "slight concussion," according to Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier.

"(Surratt)'s probably doubtful if he'll get back this week," Spurrier said. "We'll miss him in there; hopefully some of the other guys can fill in admirably."

The 6-foot-2 310 pound Surratt has 14 tackles with one sack while starting all seven games for South Carolina this season.

Walton, a 6-foot 228 pound sophomore, has 21 tackles.

"We'll see how he improves as the week goes along," Spurrier said of Walton's return possibility.

South Carolina has linebackers Kaiwan Lewis and Marcquis Roberts returning after serving a one-game suspension for a "violation of team rules."

The Gamecocks are also coping with injuries to defensive ends Cedrick Cooper (ankle) and David Johnson, who have two and three tackles, respectively.

South Carolina tight end Rory Anderson was also out as of Sunday due to a triceps injury. The 6-foot-5 227 pound Anderson has 18 receptions for 204 yards and a touchdown.
