AUBURN -- Despite ending the season with four straight losses to FBS teams, Auburn finished the season ranked in both major polls.

Auburn (8-5), which closed the season with a 34-31 overtime loss to Wisconsin in the Outback Bowl, slid three spots to No. 22 in the Associated Press and four spots to No. 23 in the Amway Coaches poll.

The Tigers received 216 points in the AP poll, down from 358 prior to the bowls, and 167 points in the coaches poll, down from 361. and are the only ranked five-loss team.

Auburn went 2-4 against ranked teams but 0-4 against teams in the top 13 of both polls.

USA TODAY's Paul Myerberg gave Auburn a grade of B-minus for the season, incredibly generous considering Georgia and Texas A&M both defeated Auburn but received lower grades.
