Auburn wide receiver D'haquille Williams returned to the practice field.

AUBURN -- D'haquille Williams returned to practice for the first time since injuring his right knee against Texas A&M.

"He dressed out," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said.

There has not been a decision made as to whether Williams, who leads Auburn with 38 receptions for 609 yards and five touchdowns, will play against FCS Samford on Saturday.

"We'll see," Malzahn said. "It's day to day."

Should Williams play Saturday, it would not be for long with the Iron Bowl coming up the next week.

"All those things come into play as a coach," Malzahn said, "but any time they get on the practice field and they're practicing, that's a good thing."

Williams has not been available for interviews since he reportedly sprained his MCL in the second quarter of the Texas A&M game. He did not travel with the Tigers to Georgia.
