Avery Young could change positions again this week.

AUBURN --Avery Young has been started at guard and tackle and where he'll be on Saturday is undetermined.

"He has the flexibility to play both," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said. "We have not made any hard decisions. (Tuesday) in practice we'll kind of see where things are at."

The 6-foot-6 315 pound Young started the first four games at right and left guard and last two games at right tackle, where he started the last nine games of last season. Afraid to disclose any details, Young said he did "everything" at practice and took reps at each position last week.

"Being the athlete that I am and being blessed to have the ability to do all the positions, it's really easy (to switch positions)," Young said. "Doing that has allowed me to learn the offense a lot better than I have before. I know it inside and out now. It's nothing."

With right tackle Patrick Miller on the mend from a left ankle injury, the versatile Young could be on the move again.

"We feel good about Pat making a lot of strides to be back to 100 percent," Auburn offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee said. "We feel good."

Lashlee expects the starting offensive line to remain Shon Coleman, Devonte Danzey, Reese Dismukes, Chad Slade and Young.

Malzahn said Miller would have been available in "an emergency situation" at Mississippi State, but was still not fully healthy while practicing last week.

"He looks like Pat Miller," Young said. "He's doing his thing and staying on top of it and getting better."
