AUBURN --Josh Holsey was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Kansas State, the conference announced Monday.

With less than two days to prepare for a return to safety, Holsey ended up with a career-high and game-high 11 tackles against the Wildcats.

Auburn plans to keep Holsey, who moved back to cornerback this off-season, at safety until and unless Jermaine Whitehead's indefinite suspension ends.
