Long snapper 'day-to-day' with undisclosed injury

AUBURN -- Tigers long snapper Forrest Hill suffered an undisclosed injury during Auburn's win at Ole Miss and his status for Saturday's game with Texas A&M is uncertain.

"We'll see. He's day to day at this point," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said, "but we're very confident regardless that he will return."

True freshman walk-on Ike Powell filled in for Hill on Auburn's final punt against Ole Miss.

"Ike did a wonderful job in a very tough spot, especially making that snap in the last minute of the game when they knew they had to come after it," Malzahn said. "That was a big-time play. That gives us great confidence moving forward. We've got two guys we feel very good about at that position."
