AUBURN -- Quan Bray etched his name in the Auburn record books.

The senior wide receiver became the first Auburn player to have a rushing, receiving and punt return touchdown all in the same season after his 23-yard rushing score in Auburn's 31-7 win over Samford Saturday night.

"That's what coach Malzahn recruited me for and it's a blessing that he came back to use me in those type of ways," Bray said. "Every time I just touch the ball I try to make something happen and it just happened to be down in the record books."

Auburn wide receiver Quan Bray had three carries for 45 yards and a touchdown and four receptions for 56 yards.

Bray's score tied the game at 7 with 6:50 to go in the second quarter, snapping an Auburn scoring drought of 79:02.

Bray's fumble issues continued as he coughed up the ball on his first punt return, which was recovered by Marcus Davis. It was Bray's third fumble in two weeks.

"He did bounce back and played well," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said. "He made some plays in the running game and the passing game."

Bray had three carries for 45 yards and a score, four receptions for 56 yards and two punt returns for 30 yards, but the fumbles still concern him.

"That's just something I got to work on," Bray said. "Extra ball bands or something at practice. They got to stop because they can lose us a game, but that's just something that happens in football and got to correct it."
