DESTIN, Fla. -- Auburn will host Arkansas State on Sept. 10, 2016, according to a school spokesman.

Auburn athletic director Jay Jacobs said the contract with the Red Wolves, first reported by the Montgomery Advertiser last week, has been signed.

It will be the fourth meetings of the teams, with Auburn winning each meeting.

Tigers coach Gus Malzahn defeated his former team 38-9 last season, a year after leading the Red Wolves to a 9-3 record and Sun Belt conference title in 2012.

It is the first non-conference game on Auburn's schedule past 2015.
