INDIANAPOLIS -- Former Auburn tackle Greg Robinson is recovering from off-season toe surgery following his rookie season.

St. Louis Rams coach Jeff Fisher said Robinson "had some work done on his toe" and is working at the team facility during his recovery.

"What he's going through now, he had some off-season surgery so he's in the building everyday," Fisher said. "He comes to the building everyday not worrying going on the practice field and making a mistake; he comes in the building everyday learning how to be a pro and that's different."

Robinson was the No. 2 pick in last year's NFL Draft and appeared in all 16 games for the Rams, first at guard before moving to left tackle.

Rams general manager Les Snead said the team is committed to playing Robinson at left tackle going forward.

"He did a really good job considering the circumstances," Fisher said. "The pressure on a first-round pick is extraordinary now. He walks and just (you've) got to be that guy. He'll be able to take a deep breath and rehab and learn. I think you'll see significant improvement, but very, very talented."
