Auburn defensive lineman Gabe Wright wants to add more sacks to his stat line.

AUBURN -- Gabe Wright was too good for the Detroit Lions to pass up.

The Lions traded up with the Philadelphia Eagles, exchanging a third-round pick in 2016 for the No. 113 overall pick to select Wright in the fourth-round of the NFL Draft on Saturday.

Wright was the second former Auburn defensive tackle selected Saturday, going 13 picks after Angelo Blackson was taken by the Tennessee Titans.

Wright entered the draft facing questions of his consistency. His 24 tackles with 4 1/2 for loss but just one sack to go along with 10 hurries last season were all drops from 2013, when he had 31 tackles, 8 1/2 for loss with three sacks.

According to OverTheCap.com, Wright's four-year contract is projected to be for $2,733,152 with a $453,152 signing bonus. However, the pick changed hands thee times and each team's rookie salary pool differs.

Wright's 34 bench press reps tied for second among defensive linemen but his broad jump (100 inches), vertical (26 1/2 inches) and 40-yard dash (5.07 seconds) were less impressive.

Wright is the third Auburn player selected in this year's draft, joining Blackson and Sammie Coates, who was drafted by Pittsburgh in the third round on Friday.
