AUBURN -- Tigers shortstop Haley Fagan has some history with Louisiana-Lafayette.

As a freshman at South Alabama in 2013, Fagan played in four Sun Belt games against the Ragin' Cajuns, including against ace Jordan Wallce, with mixed success.

Fagan went 2 for 11 with two home runs and six strikeouts with two walks against ULL, including 1 for 8 against Wallace with the lone hit being a 3-run home run.

Wallace got the better of the duel in their last two meetings, including the Sun Belt Tournament, holding Fagan 0 for 5 with three strikeouts and a walk in their final two games against each other.

"That was a big series for us when we were at South and we played in the conference tournament," Fagan said. "I remember my at-bats against them and I think that's only going to help me and our team be more successful against them."

Wallace (18-5, 1.90 ERA) had 211 strikeouts in 147.1 innings this season but Auburn is confident in its bats entering this weekend's NCAA Super Regional.

"I don't think it's really about them," Fagan said. "It's our game. It's about the things we can control and if we play Auburn softball, then we're not going to have a problem with them."
