AUBURN -- Nick Marshall is headed to Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent, according to a source.

The former Auburn quarterback spent the entire seventh round of the NFL Draft among ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr.'s top 10 players available, but was not selected among the 256 picks this weekend.

Marshall is converting to cornerback in the NFL and first made the change at the Senior Bowl, where he worked with the Jaguars coaching staff.

The first two-year starting QB under coach Gus Malzahn, Marshall threw for 2,532 yards with 20 touchdowns and seven interceptions to go along with 798 rushing yards and 11 scores last season.

Marshall was twice named Auburn's Offensive MVP by the coaches and Malzahn and offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee maintained their steadfast belief he could be an NFL quarterback.

Marshall worked out with the other QBs and threw at the NFL Combine while also performing defensive back drills on the side.
