AUBURN -- Edgewood defensive end Prince Tega Wanogho Jr. committed to Auburn and will sign with the school today, according to multiple reports.

The 6-foot-8, 250-pound prospect, who recently reclassified to the class of 2015, took an official visit to Auburn over the weekend and was thought to be likely to wait until after National Signing Day to choose a school, but elected to commit to the Tigers on Tuesday.

A native of Nigeria, Wanogho Jr., who broke his left leg during a basketball game on Jan. 20, did not start playing football until this past season but he had 82 tackles, four sacks and eight fumble recoveries to help lead Edgewood to a state championship.

He's considered a raw talent and developmental prospect who will almost certainly redshirt in 2015.

"He's a guy that's going to have to develop wherever he goes," 247Sports recruitng analyst JC Shurburtt said. "He's a guy that any school needs to make room for. "
