Nation's top WR, Nate Craig-Myers decommits from Auburn

AUBURN -- Nate Craig-Myers, the nation's top receiver in the 2016 recruiting class, decommitted from Auburn on Wednesday, dealing the Tigers a significant blow.

The Tampa native told 247Sports there is no timetable for his decision, which may take until the 2016 Under Armour All-American game or National Signing Day.

Craig-Myers had been committed to Auburn for nearly 10 months and wide receivers coach Dameyune Craig, no relation, visited Tampa to watch Craig-Myers practice on Tuesday, but Florida State is said to have made significant headroom in pursuing the 6-foot-2 205 pound five-star prospect.

Auburn's 2016 class, which is down to five commitments, dropped 10 spots to No. 36 in the 247Sports rankings and is No. 28 in the Rivals rankings.

Auburn is losing D'haquille Williams, RIcardo Louis, Melvin Ray, Jonathan Wallace and Jaylon Denson from its receiving corps after the 2015-16 season.
