Four-star WR Darius Slayton flips from Georgia to Auburn

AUBURN -- Four-star wide receiver Darius Slayton flipped from Georgia to Auburn Tuesday night to give the Tigers their latest addition on the eve of National Signing Day.

Slayton, a Norcross, Georgia native, made his announcement in a series of tweets.

"I am happy to say that I have officially committed to the University of Auburn [sic] WAR EAGLE!!," Slayton tweeted, later correcting the himself on the name of the school.

The 6-foot-1 182 pound Slayton is ranked No. 15 at wide receiver in the 247Sports composite. He had been committed to Georgia since Dec. 4.

"First off Id [sic] like to say I truly appreciate and admire the UGA community and fans with the way they have supported me," Slayton wrote in a message posted on Twitter. "It was truly a blessing but unfortunately I will be decommiting [sic] from the university of Georgia."

The addition of Slayton gives Auburn 22 commits as it heads into National Signing Day. Auburn's class moved up to No. 9 in teh Scout recruiting rankings and No. 11 in 247Sports.
